We're seeking a skilled individual adept in PLC logic and HMI software programming, with a keen understanding of process control fundamentals and mechanical/electrical equipment. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for programming and troubleshooting robots, ensuring their safe operation, and actively contributing to process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical/Mechatronics Journeyman or Associate Degree, possess advanced knowledge of robotic controls, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications. Preferred qualifications include experience with Vision software and Trumpf laser systems.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- PLC logic and HMI software programming
- Ability to learn the fundamentals of process control and understand the importance of consistent application
- Aptitude for mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform the programming of robots
- Troubleshoot problems with robots
- Ensure robot is safe for associates to operate
- Assist in the mechanical/electrical installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment, as required; Assuring that all operations and utilities equipment complies with minimum Safety & Operational requirements.
- Operate a variety of equipment including:
- Metering Devices
- Hand Tools
- Scissor Lift
- Volt/Ohm Meter (VOM)
- Diagnostic Computers
- Conduit Benders
- Threading Equipment
- AMP Probe
- Megger
- Thermographics
- Ultrasonic Analysis
- Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
- Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running.
- Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor.

- Completion of Mechanical/Mechatronics Journeyman or Mechatronics Associate Degree with 1 year equivalent experience or High School Diploma and Mechatronics Certification with 2 years experience.
- Advanced understanding of relevant Robotic controls
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. word, excel, outlook, etc).
- Preferred experience with Vision software
- Preferred experience Trumpf laser systems
