Licensed Mental Health Professional- Supervisee or Resident in Counseling
Description: Responsibilities will include providing oversight/supervision for: assessments, individual service plans and discharge planning, clinical supervision, the coordination and implementation of clinical services and clinical case management offered to clients. A thorough understanding of DMAS policies and procedures and DBHDS policies and procedures is required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares written diagnostic assessments to be conducted face to face, assessing clients from multiple perspectives, including, psychological/emotional, social, academic, medical, behavioral, substance abuse, skills, strengths, barriers to economic self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others, and utilizing various assessment instruments.
- Perform individual, group and family therapy
- Residential group therapy
- Complete Comprehensive Assessments.
- Generate CEPP
- Coordinate with QMHP's on Crisis cases
- Assist mental health worker in creating an initial ISP within 24 hours. Sign off on all clinical documents in a timely manner.
- Supervise and collaborate with QMHP-A crisis cases
- Provide supervision to QMHP's providing case management services
- Meets monthly with QMHP’s to provide clinical guidance, assess dynamics and needs of each case, determine the appropriateness of strategies, and assess progress of service delivery and planning.
- Review QMHP progress client progress, competence, and substantive documentation of services provided.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and provide clinical guidance to QMHP and staff of Infinite Solutions Behavioral Services, LLC.
- Perform clinical file reviews to ensure client files are in compliance with agency, DMAS, DBHDS and state code policies and procedures. Document clinical file review and make recommendations for changing as appropriate. Notify Executive Director of findings in a timely manner.
- Provide consulting and additional referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Stay abreast of DMAS, DBHDS, and State policies and procedures. Keep current with knowledge, availability, quality of community resources and professional trends.
- Assist COO with design and development of the clinical aspects of program services and appraising staff performance.
- Collaborates and coordinates with other services providers and professionals, such as attorneys, social workers, and probation/parole officers.
- Maintain license and/or certification.

Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, licensed marriage and family therapist, or certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist/practitioner or completed a graduate degree and is under the direct personal supervision of a person licensed under Virginia law, who is working towards licensure, and who is in compliance with the appropriate Virginia licensing board may perform the functions of the LMHP for purposes and have Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field to include social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, criminal justice and human services counseling. This position also requires a valid driver’s license, automobile and telecommunications availability, excellent verbal and written skills; counseling and social work theories and techniques; and community resources. Strong writing and case conceptualization skills and reference to a methodological. The successful completion of a criminal history or background investigation is required.
