Position Overview
This position is responsible for working with the Equipment manager, Shop Manager, Technicians, Operational Staff and Accounting staff to assist in their day-to-day responsibilities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Ensure employee driven safety culture is in place and effective.
- Work with shop manager on CMMS workflow and communication.
- Understand and participate in the 5S culture throughout shop.
- Continually work towards workplace organization including general clean-up.
- Point of contact for service requests, scheduling, and repair updates…
- This individual will communicate to the field from the inception of needed work through the CMMS work request to the completion of the repair and availability to return to service. This will include and immediate response to the field on the repair request submitted and an estimated completion date. At the completion of the repairs this individual will again communicate to the field that the repair is complete.
- This individual will submit vendor service purchase requests with invoices/quotes for purchase orders.
- PM service management and scheduling…
- This individual will be responsible for scheduling PM services and reconciling the CMMS PM service engine. This will include the DOT inspection scheduling and corresponding state required paperwork.
- Submit pm service requests or purchase orders.
Utilize Proactis or current process as necessary to create purchase request and send for approval to necessary management.
- Utilize Proactis current process to create purchase order, provide to vendor and ensure management of costs.
- This individual will work in conjunction with the shop supervisor to complete and maintain workflow expectations.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Requirements
- Experience in mining, construction or manufacturing repairs is recommended.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
