EMERGING ADVANCED PRODUCTS, LLC is currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:
TOOL & DIE REPAIR TECHNICIAN
IMMEDIATE OPENING!
2nd SHIFT
2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
Emerging Advanced Products, LLC is a 182,000 square foot manufacturing facility for body structures & assemblies, modular assemblies - FEM, seating structure & components, powertrain & fuel systems, thermal heat shields. We have stamping presses ranging from 200 to 3000 Ton.
Summary: Responsible for the daily maintenance, upkeep and repair of all dies. Expected to maintain and care for the dies so that they are always in proper working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all dies
- Repair, clean, and troubleshoot dies
- Work with Production Team to correct tooling issues
- Study CAD models, blueprints, sketches, or specifications to plan the repair and/or fabrication of tools, dies, and components
- File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
- Ability to conduct test runs with completed repairs to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary
- Maintain and complete daily documentation as required
- Operate all machinery and equipment in a safe manner
Education and Experience:
- Highly experienced with mills, lathes, die grinder, surface grinder, and other tool and die equipment
- Experienced at working with large dies – including single, double stage, and progressive dies
- Experience with high tonnage press operation
- Technical Training in Tool & Die Repair or equivalent experience of 2-5 years of experience
- 2-5 years die repair experience with tonnage up to 3000
