The Test Material Supervisor is a professional who will direct and supervise hourly personnel in the removal of test material from forged components. They will work collaboratively with other operations supervisors as well as quality assurance / control to ensure compliance with test material requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Direct and Supervise hourly personnel responsible for removing and sawing test material in the Primary Operations Department.
2. Read and Interpret drawing and process documentation.
3. Layout / Supervise layout of test blocks for burning and sawing.
4. Communicate with other Supervisor’s for testing schedules and status.
5. Maintain various electronic / paper documentation.
6. Perform various hardness testing
7. Order consumables necessary for operations in area of responsibility.
Education & Experience:
1 - 3 years manufacturing experience or related in an industrial manufacturing setting. Supervision experience in an industrial setting.
Skills/Competencies:
· Excellent reading, writing, listening and overall communication and comprehension skills.
· Ability to read and interpret blue prints, drawings, charts, tables, other written instructions.
· Must have good problem solving, organizational, time management, conflict resolution and planning skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Experience with basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Other Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead others.
