Accounting Manager - Job Description
Position Overview
· Manage overall Accounting, Banking, and Payroll Functions
· Maintain Records for Building Costs
· Coordination/ Manage Insurance Coverages & Property Taxes
· Obtain/ Reconcile Reports from Outside Entities/ Operations
· Maintain/ Produce Monthly Financials with Monthly Owner Meetings
· Producing/ Evaluating Financial Statements
Roles and Duties
· Accounting Functions on Quick Books Desk top
o Accounts Payable-Vendor setup, 1099, insurance, weekly check run.
o Capitalization knowledge for fixed assets
o Use of Classes and Item cost items-track build projects
o Transfer build costs to CO-Construct (Building Software)
o Accounts Receivable-invoicing (QB’s & Excel), payments, collections
o Transfer data into Excel-produce spreadsheet, pivot tables
· Payroll using ADP
o Bi-monthly entry
o Insurance, Commissions, & bonuses
· Banking Online
o Positive Pay-Fraud items
o Reconciling/ Reports
· Property Taxes- Track, protest, payments
· Construction Costs
o Work with utility companies to set-up, submit change orders, and terminate service
o Use Item Costs within QB’s to code and track expenses.
· Insurance Coverages-work with carriers to maintain appropriate coverages
· Monthly Financials & Loans
o Reconcile and maintain Loan Agreements
o Produce monthly financials based on monthly activity
o Produce reports to present to Owners/ Banks
· Outside Entities-Companies under Corporate Umbrella
o Duplicate outside reports into Quick books
o Reconcile, Evaluate, and report findings from reports
Equipment. Software
· Quick books Contractors Desktop Edition-2021
· Quick books Online-currently in process of converting over
· Microsoft Outlook-3 e-mail accounts
· Microsoft Excel-Multi Spreadsheet creation and Pivot tables
· Co-Construct Building Software-not required, but a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of governmental accounting principles and financial software applications
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Quick Books or similar accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
