Local manufacturer of electric motors and motor components is seeking qualified candidates to fill Quality Assurance Inspector positions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform any combination of procedures and operations in the assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging of product, if necessary.
2. Plan, coordinate, and direct the quality assurance program design to ensure all products are produced consistently with our established standards, policies, procedures, and instructions.
3. Coordinate and maintain customer, supplier, and internal corrective action, and costumer complaints and report the results of all corrective actions, customer complaints, and internal audits to the Quality Assurance Manager.
4. Perform first piece inspection, as necessary, to ensure parts meet all print specifications using micrometers, calipers, and gages.
5. Help in the investigation of complaints concerning defective products.
6. Inform Supervisor or Quality Assurance manager of any defects in parts, equipment, or tools.
7. Perform general housekeeping duties at workstations on a daily basis.
Qualified candidates must be able to calculate figures, have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Must be able to life and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Position is full time, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Overtime as needed. NYS Paid Sick time effective date of hire. Benefits available on 90th day of employment - medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K, Company paid vision insurance and life insurance.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
