We are currently seeking a responsible, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting department as Accounting Clerk - Accounts Receivable and Sales Audit.
This is a full-time, hourly position with excellent benefits (waiting period may apply) and the individual will be based at our corporate office in Honolulu, Oahu.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Audit daily sales reports and payments
- Verify bank deposits and credit card payments
- Data entry of financial transactions in general ledger, sales audit module and excel files
- Research issues and/or discrepancies, problem solve
- Review and reconcile delivery services and online orders
- Reconcile various accounts receivable accounts
- Follow established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Prepare reports and summaries of financial data as needed
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of data
Skills/Ability:
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounting clerk
- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
- Hands-on experience with Excel and Outlook
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Must have strong verbal/written communication skills
- Must have ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under time constraints with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a face paced, high volume environment
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be able to handle confidential/sensitive information with the utmost professionalism
- Must be able to live by and embrace our core objectives of providing accurate work product
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements including dress code
- Customer service skills helpful
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus
- Minimum 2 years business/accounting experience required
- Microsoft Office products experience with proficiency in Excel required
- 10-key by touch required
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally carry up to 25 pounds
Communications Requirements:
The position requires talking to employees, supervisors, managers, executives, and outside trade persons/vendors; written communication to employees, supervisors, managers, executives, and outside persons/vendors; responding to written or verbal requests; reading; composing written language; receiving verbal and written instructions.
