JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
This requirement is for Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) Code 311, which is responsible for assisting PMS 339 with Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Training development and for conducting interim training for DDG New Acquisition, DDG Modernization, and CG Modernization. The Project Coordinator will facilitate and support a distributed team of training specialists and support personnel to provide training program administration and instructional support for the CG 47, and DDG 51 HM&E modernization (MOD) programs, to include new construction DDG training events and system refresher training events held at various Naval Stations around the world.

· Oversee and participate in a team of highly skilled professionals.
· Coordinate with customer and technical leadership to develop and support training events.
· Manage budgets and facilitate procurement of training materials
· Manage instructor required training, schedule, and travel
· Support and facilitate curriculum development activities with schedule coordination
Desired Skills and Requirements
· Seven (7) years of technical and project managerial experience with Navy and Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) system operation, maintenance and logistics documentation planning and development.
· Two (2) years of experience overseeing training instructors, scheduling training events, procuring training materials, and managing instructors travel.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position directs employees on the project.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and active engineering site, working closely with customers. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands are similar to most office positions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand, but are not anticipated to be frequent.
Travel
10-20% travel.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university
Preferred Education
Relevant technical certifications.
PMP certification
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to obtain a clearance
