The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the inspection of vehicles after all repairs have been completed in the shop. The goal is to make sure the Service Department delivers good quality repairs to customer’s vehicles. The Quality Control Technician is responsible to make sure all customer complaints have been addressed within the approved estimate, check for presentation and cleanliness of the vehicle. As a Quality Control Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing:
- Confirmations that repairs performed on vehicle match work order and notes from MVASIST
- Inspections of repairs performed to ensure OEM guidelines have been followed
- Quality Control checklist before and after road testing vehicle Inspections of repairs performed to ensure OEM guidelines have been followed
- Review of any fault codes
- Process checks around Warranty
Preferred Candidates have the following:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License required (can drive manual & automatic)
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Service Technician
- Basic Computer Skills
- Cummins Engine Repair Certification preferred
- Mack & Volvo Master Certification preferred
Ability to read a limited number of two-and-three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers. Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Use of arms in a raised position above shoulder level for prolong periods of time. Use of creeper or rolling device to enable tech to work underneath vehicle.
The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Entry or exit from the cab of the vehicle.
Climb to a safe position to access the engine compartment area, firewall or roof.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
