The SAP Functional Analyst 4 is responsible for supporting, designing, configuring, testing, and working in the SAP ERP software. The SAP Functional Analyst 4 is a Subject Matter Expert in the areas they support consistent with that of an SAP consultant.
Responsibilities

Provide expert Subject Matter/designing thinking and functional support, including maintenance for complex activities within SAP ECC core modules including:
-
Human Resources (HR)
-
Success Factors (and understanding interface back to SAP)
-
Design and develop complete solutions in respective SAP modules and related systems to meet end-user or project requirements including process flow and system documentation for new developments (i.e. business process flows, requirements matrices with RACI indications and functional specifications)
-
Support Quality Assurance activities including unit testing, system integration testing, and regression testing / negative testing to include development of test scripts
-
Experience with SAP reporting and modeling tools: SAP query, Report Painter/Writer, SHDB Scripts, SAP GUI Scripting
-
Experience with SAP Technologies such as IDOCs, BDC Sessions, Workflow, DMEE, Classification, Background Jobs, and/or variant configuration
-
Understand Waterfall, Agile, and SAP Activate Project Methodology
-
Log and track service requests and incidents including message handling and dispatching, resolution tracking, and problem escalation (via Incident tracking software)

Utilize a variety of resources to resolve questions and problems, including working with consultants, self-help, ASUG networks, OSS, etc.

Provide on-call support and Service Request queue monitor rotation
-
Contribute EIT requirements for RFP responses, vendor evaluations, etc.

Mentor and manage lower grade analysts on policies, practices, procedures

Operate independently with some supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
-
SAP core module expert knowledge and understanding including HR Human Resources: Time Management, Organizational Management, Payroll, Benefits
-
Extensive experience in SAP configuration within the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP-HR
-
Minimum of 2 SAP Lifecycle implementations
-
Expert understanding of SAP architecture including 2/3 tier landscape
-
Solid knowledge of relevant business processes and their integration with SAP systems and 3rd party integrations
-
Provides level 2 & 3 functional support for SAP subject area.
-
In-depth knowledge of the latest advancements in SAP applications.
-
Understanding/knowledge of relational database management
-
Expert/Consultant level Understanding/knowledge and use of SAP/ERP technologies including: Implementation Guide (IMG) configuration; Transports; Testing

Experience/Understanding of SAP Portal technology
-
Experience/Understanding of middleware technologies including SAP Process Orchestration (PO), SuccessFactors Integration Center, or other

Expert level knowledge of SAP Cloud Solutions such as SuccessFactors
-
Understanding SAP Security including how to analyze role-based permissions and identify authorization issues
-
Knowledge and or strong experience with integration technologies such as Web Services, APIs, and or SAP RFC connections

Read/debug ABAP code to facilitate/assist troubleshooting with Developers

Organizational Change Management experience

Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable business degree from an accredited university OR Relevant business technical experience
Preferred Qualifications:

SAP Certification in any supported modules, SAP SAAS offering such as SuccessFactors
-
Extensive experience in SAP configuration within the Implementation Guide (IMG)
-
Extensive Experience with one or more SAP modules experiences within the ECC Core including FI, CO, PM, PS, MM, SD, or HR
-
Extensive Experience in providing end-user support services for an SAP ERP and or integrated technologies
-
Extensive Experience defining business processes using SAP core transactions, and recommend SAP best practices
-
Ability to perform basic SAP ABAP debugging and/or ability to read ABAP code
-
Capable of understanding, revising, and implementing prescribed changes to an SAP ERP architecture, following ITIL and/or SDLC processes

Experience using RWD Info Pak for Business Process Procedure documentation

Previous experience of the Electric and Gas Utility Industry
