Position Summary: To consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of member care and service. The Maintenance Technician will assist in the general and day to day upkeep of The Buffalo Club Property. Exterior buildings facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, grounds, snow removal, and safety.
General Requirements:

- Perform all work in accordance with safety standards and guidelines.
- Report any incidents or injuries to the supervisor immediately.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs general maintenance and facilities upkeep such as pressure washing, irrigation repairs, grounds keeping, landscaping, snow removal (w/ shovel, snow blower, truck with v-plow and/or Bobcat), trash removal, moving furniture, hanging pictures, carpet cleaning, light bulb replacements.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance and ensures that all building systems (fire panel, burglar alarm, security cameras, HVAC units etc.) are on when needed and functioning properly taking corrective action when necessary.
- Works with outside vendors to ensure work is completed to standards and informs management if work has not met expectations.
- Operates all motor driven tools used in daily operations including lawn and snow removal equipment.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required.
- In collaboration with entire maintenance team, keeps shop and tools clean and organized.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions from management or senior maintenance workers.
- Ability to use both hand and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Safety management mindset.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as distance, unit conversions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to use snowplow or ability to learn.
- MUST have drywall and painting experience.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
- Four (4) to eight (8) years of related experience and/or training.
- Four (4) to six (6) years trade background.
- Related experience preferred
- On-the-job training offered.
Licenses & Certificates:
· Possess Class 1 or 2 Stationary Engineers License issued by The City of Buffalo, N.Y. or ability to obtain.
· Must have valid NYS Drivers’ License
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Must have physical stamina and strength.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking including regular use of stairs.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend/crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, stoop, push and pull over the course of a shift.
- Must be able to work overhead for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to regularly lift 75lbs pounds and occasionally up to 100.
- Ability to respond quickly to alarms.
- Ability to move over uneven terrain
- Must be able to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to extreme weather conditions such as snow, rain, sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
- Must be able to operate all Maintenance related equipment.
