MD Anderson has built a Data Governance and Provenance framework that delivers a world-leading implementation of this data and metadata supply chain in a large academic health science setting. The Program Manager, Data Impact and Governance is responsible for the development and enhancements to approved Frameworks for the assessments. In addition, this position will responsible for conducting required and appropriate quantitative and qualitative data assessments. The data assessments include but are not limited to data assets, data maturity, data quality and data security. The role is also responsible for measuring progress to success to via key performance metrics (KPI's) and reporting status to leadership. This individual will collaborate with a variety of roles across the institution, including stakeholders, subject matter experts and senior executives.
The Program Manager is responsible for long term program development, planning, assessments, tracking and reporting of milestones and outcomes of the program.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of clinician and business needs and possess the credibility to be able to articulate the link between Data Governance and Provenance department and each of the respective business, and clinical domains.
Engages with the appropriate business leaders to perform required and maturity data assessments.
Interpersonal communication
Ability to establish and maintain business relationships to ensure effective bi-directional communications.
Ability to inform, negotiate and persuaded leaders of the required data assessments.
Project Management
Ability to plan, manage, execute and complete projects in a timely manner.
Provide status reports to stakeholders regarding assessments, gaps and risks.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, analyze problems, report progress, and analyze project performance.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience Required:
Five years of experience in project/program management, data assessments, and/or data audits. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred Experience
Experience with risk, quality, or high value assessments
Experience developing process flows
