Job Description:
The datacenter Technician will play a pivotal role in the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our datacenter and engineering workspace for The Customer. This role will ensure our Data Centers security, stability, and consistency by monitoring and auditing data center security standards, coordinating maintenance with responsible teams, and monitoring key growth and utilization metrics. This role will also be responsible for tracking inventory shipments and maintenance of our engineering workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
· Expand and continue to develop Data Center standards for security, stability, and growth.
· Perform ongoing data center security, growth, physical space, performance, stability and other audits.
· Coordinate systems deployments and return shipments from our primary engineering facilities.
· Cross-functional collaboration with other customer’s Technology teams.
· Expansion and continuous improvement of data center standards and documentation
· Coordinate and maintain clean working environment at our datacenters and engineering workspace.
Basic Qualifications:
· BS or equivalent experience
· 2-3+ years of Data Center experience
· Familiarity with physical and digital security standards (MPAA, etc.)
· Familiarity with Media and Entertainment Industry standards and practices.
· Basic Knowledge of out-of-band / lights-out server communication methods.
· Basic Knowledge of Structured Cabling Standards.
· Basic Knowledge of Data Center Power and Cooling Standards.
· Basic Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure design.
· Experience coordinating with multiple teams and different personality types.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience coordinating field operation technicians/engineers, contractors, and/or vendors.
· Experience collaborating across multiple teams.
· Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
Must Haves:
· Storage Experience
· Systems Admin - (Linux, Windows Server, OSX)
· Previous Experience as a Systems Engineer (5-10 years)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
