The Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, helping the General Manager with formulating overall store strategy, managing all employees, ordering and quality control of product, and helping establish policies and procedures.
**Must have Floral Experience**
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop
- Place orders for product and communicate with vendors
- Receive, unload, and check all incoming product for quality
- Work with General Manager to set team policies and processes
- Ensure design and sales teams work productively and develop professionally
- Assist in recruitment and training of new employees
- Help ensure all team members follow health and safety regulations
- Help provide solutions to issues (i.e., production quality, employee conflicts)
Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience as an assistant manager, or similar role in the floral industry.
- Bring a lot of positive energy to the team and can role model a “customer obsessed” mentality
- Takes great pride in your work and contributions to the team
- Excellent communication and relational skills on the phone, email and online
- Proactive, team player who works positively & collaboratively for the success of the entire team
- Ability to fully listen and understand needs before problem solving and properly following through to an appropriate resolution
- Able to build & maintain strong relationships both internally & externally
- Approachable and treats all people with respect and dignity
- Calm under pressure
