Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must possess and exercise good working knowledge of American Petroleum Institute (API) guidelines covering petroleum measurement, product sampling and cargo temperature determination.
- Must be able to use marine measurement equipment including closed manual gauging devices, gauge tapes and thermo-probes.
- Must be able to read standard and metric measurement devices, be proficient in basic math calculations including the addition and subtraction of fractions.
- Candidate should have basic working knowledge of liquid cargo movements via pumps, pipelines, valves, tanks, meter skids, etc. and possess the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Must be able to ascend/descend dock gangways, ladders and stairs.
- Candidate will interact daily with ship agents, tugboat operators, barge tanker-men, ship crew’s, government officials, third-party inspectors, and others.
