Registered Nurse, PreOp and PACU
RN - PreOp, PACU (and Circulating OR)
A gorgeous facility in Murray, UT is seeking a self-confident and self-motivated RN who is credible and can establish a winning rapport with peers and leadership. The current operations are 1 OR with adjoining room(s) for PreOp and PACU. Willing to teach candidate OR Plastics, but should have some familiarity in PreOp and PACU or Surgery workflow.

Preferred candidates should be able to work independently in PreOp and PACU namely. Experience in PreOp, particularly with IV starts and typical assessment is mandatory. Candidate must be very proficient and become independent within a safe and reasonable time in PreOp and PACU (ok if not as familiar with Plastics).Willing to teach candidate Circulating OR.

Job Qualifications:
License: Current Utah RN License, BLS, ACLS
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PreOp and PACU. Willing to teach a newer nurse Surgery. Must have transferable skill set and experience in fast-paced settings.
Essential Job Duties and Characteristics:
- Verifies that Perioperative personnel provide safe patient care. Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within the Perioperative services. Assists leadership in collecting data for performance improvement projects. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the Perioperative team and other stakeholders. Provides guidance, support, and constructive feedback to Perioperative personnel.
- Helps Perioperative personnel in evaluating practice and offers suggestions for further improvement. Evaluates current practice and offers quality and process improvement suggestions. Acts as clinical resource for Perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and prevailing guidelines. Maintains Perioperative documentation, records and logs as required.
