We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our rapidly growing firm. In this role, you will provide a variety of accounting services to our clients, including creating monthly financial statements, reconciling accounts, and preparing tax returns. Qualifications
- CPA License Certification (Florida) in good standing
- 5+ years accounting experience in both the public and private sectors
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Master of Science in Accounting preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics and business conduct
- Able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Proficient in Quickbooks, QuickBooks Online, Lacerte Tax, Tvalue, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge in start-ups and R&D companies
- Knowledge about construction and healthcare industries a plus
- Experience working for a CPA firm preferred
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct tax interviews with clients
- Request, collect, and compile all necessary documents
- Prepare and review financial documents and income tax returns
- Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code
- Analyze financial records to prepare tax returns
- Analyze financial documents to make recommendations for improving operations or lowering tax liabilities.
- Reconcile financial statements
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
- Maintain constant communication with the IRS, State Agencies, and our clients
- Help clients plan for long-term financial goals, such as retirement.
- Keep highly organized and updated client files
- Works as required during tax season to meet federal and state deadlines
