Fire Suppression Specialist responsibilities:
- Perform surveys for new and existing customers regarding new installations and retrofit applications.
- Determine suppression system design parameters and product application
- Preparation of submittal packages for AHJ approval
- Conduct inspections and assessments of fire suppression systems, specifically focusing on kitchen hood installations, industrial systems, and special hazard applications.
- Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Perform inspections and maintain the associated accurate records.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of standard fire suppression systems.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to fire suppression systems.
Fire Suppression Specialist background must include:
- Salary negotiable for Fel-K or Fel-A
- Proven experience (5 years) working with fire suppression systems, preferably in commercial kitchens, industrial settings, and special hazards.
- Proficient understanding of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to fire suppression systems.
Fire Suppression additional qualifications highly desired:
- Additional certifications in fire safety, such as NFPA 96 or NFPA 10, are advantageous.
- Prior experience working in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
