Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates behaviors at Adventist University of Health Sciences in harmony with the “Four Words” Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship
· Provide course syllabi for instruction.
· Develop, design and deliver instruction in assigned courses.
· Participate in student advising and mentoring.
· Formulate and administer, as needed, student competencies.
· Engage in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship and research.
· Grade examinations and assignments and review evaluations with students.
· Review and assist with revisions as needed for department policies and procedures.
· Identify and recommend to department chair appropriate community agency linkages for student learning experiences
Skills:
- Strong background in analytical chemistry, with expertise in spectroscopy and bioinformatics
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience working in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods for data interpretation
- Ability to dissect complex scientific problems and develop creative solutions
- Familiarity with ecological restoration principles is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate students through lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions
- Experience with microscopy techniques for sample analysis
Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited academic institution. The degree must be either in the assigned area of education or in an area that directly contributes to the professional
assignment.
· At least four years of effective college-level work in the area of academic or professional expertise.

Pay: $111,520.00 - $133,820.00 per year
