LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
This is an entry level position that, under general supervision, provides administrative support and assistance with coordinating the daily operations of Human Resource services, programs, and systems as it relates to providing administrative support and assistance for administration of Learning and Development programs and classes. This position will play a key role on the Learning and Development team to support administration of the designated learning management system (LMS), organizing learning content/materials, sharing organizational communications, coordinating training programs, and supporting program/course delivery
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
- Performs research on special topics, projects, and problems, compiles data on findings for review.
- Creates and prepares presentations and presentation material; assembles and processes documents, correspondence, reports, and related materials.
- Establishes, maintains, and updates filing systems and databases.
- Assists with basic budget reconciliation, processes requisitions, procurement cards, purchase orders, invoice payments, check requests.
- Coordinates conferences, meetings, and employee training.
- Monitors submission deadlines and time frames for Human Resource programs.
- Gathers, compiles, analyzes, and tracks information.
- Responds to inquiries and assists others on human resources matters of a routine nature.
- Provides administrative support, and assists with maintenance of Human Resources services, programs, and systems for departmental personnel.
- Prepares and handles items of a confidential nature.
- Researches and responds to employee written and verbal inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with staff at all levels and with members of the general public.
- Serves as group representative for various organizational committees.
- Performs related human resources work as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL EXAMPLES OF WORK:
- Build quarterly class schedule in LMS on a timely basis based on input from the facilitation team and other internal training partners
- Monitor and update JEA Academy planning calendar, including adding classes on behalf of other JEA departments
- Produce and distribute organizational communications related to programs and courses, including weekly calendars, seats available messaging, employee marketing, and digital promotion
- Update Learning & Development SharePoint page with training updates and course information
The full salary range for this position is $43,260 - $55,682. Salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and abilities.
The typical starting salary for this position is between $43,260 - $49,471.
Qualifications
OPEN REQUIREMENTS:
Education: An associate degree
AND
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a clerical/administrative capacity, preferably in Human Resources or Finance
OR
Comparable education and experience in a clerical/administrative capacity, preferably in Human Resources or Finance. Prior experience with Human Resource Management systems such as Oracle is preferred
