Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ultrasound imaging procedures following the physician's orders
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Ensure the patient's comfort and safety during procedures
- Analyze technical information and medical images
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records
Education/Training:
- Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Depending on assigned department, meets education/training as required under established current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) guidelines.
Licensure/Certification
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and Registered in Fetal Echocardiography (FE); and/or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and
Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Adult Echo (AE), Fetal Echo (FE) or Pediatric Echo (PE); and/or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and
- Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Vascular, Phlebology, Neurovascular (through The American Society of Neuroimaging (ASNI)); and/or
Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Experience:
- Able to perform routine echocardiology exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode echocardiography and/or vascular sonography exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode Imaging, Color Flow and Spectral Doppler, Carotid Ultrasound, Venous Doppler Upper and Lower Extremities, and Arterial Duplex Upper and Lower Extremities. Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Must demonstrate competency within the first six months of hire in performing at least THREE of the following ECHO and/or Vascular exams: 3-D, Strain, Exercise Stress Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, TAVR, Mitral Clip, Complex Valve, Watchman, Post Processing, Contrast Studies, Agitated Saline Studies, Transesophageal (TEE), Surgical TEE, Simple Cardiac Shunts, Venous Insufficiency, Visceral, Segmental Physiology Upper Extremity, Access Grafts, Hemodialysis Access, Venous Ablation Procedures, Ultrasound Guidance, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Temporal Artery, or Transcranial Imaging.
