Square Medical Group is looking for a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) who is an energetic, team player to join the staff of our innovative residential program in Framingham!

Position Summary: Square Medical Group is looking for an energized and experienced Recovery Support Specialists to join our new team to build an exciting new co-occurring enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (COE-RRS) program in our new Framingham location! Our Framingham program (opens March of 2024) is a 24-bed intensive treatment program providing a recovery home for adult men. This program is one of our newest models that will offer an extended stay and more robust staffing for residents with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders, with flexible schedule options! We offer three shift options: 8am – 4pm, 4pm to midnight, midnight to 8am, Weekend shifts available and part time or full time!
Qualifications & Education:
- High School diploma or GED; Associates degree in human services preferred.
- Current Certification as a Recovery Coach or Peer Specialist preferred.
- Previous experience working with adults in a human service setting.
- Must undergo Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process.
Requirements:
- 1-year prior experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder program(s)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care – preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients, provide security checks through shift, complete documentation: electronic medical record system (InSync,) shift report via Outlook, medication logbook, and other documentation as assigned.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in direct patient care including ensuring patient safety, interacting therapeutically in our trauma informed care program.
- Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen needs or circumstances.
- Comfort with multiple pathways to recovery and willingness to embrace a patient-centered approach that recognizes an individual's preferences and autonomy.
- Responsible for using a company vehicle to transport patients from program location to meetings and appointments within the local community.
- Assist program needs in identifying any problems and responds quickly to new challenges.
- Uses his or her time effectively and efficiently; concentrates his or her efforts on the most important priorities; adeptly handles several tasks at once.
- Effective use of the Internet and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Understands and implements professional boundaries.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, walk, stand, climb stairs, write, type, and lift up to 35lbs.
