Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the physical appearance and mechanical functionality of all credit union facilities to project an attractive image while protecting the investment in buildings and equipment.
Essential Functions:
1. In conjunction with and directed by the Corporate Support Manager, supervise all facilities related activities and projects within the department.
2. In the absence of the Corporate Support Manager effectively manage all facilities related functions and activities within the department.
3. Coordinates the maintenance, remodeling, new construction, heating, and cooling functions of the credit union. This includes establishing new vendor relationships as needed.
4. Works with Corporate Support Manager on any major design changes.
5. Manages the purchasing function of the credit union. Develops, recommends, and implements purchasing policies and implements them. Responsible for reducing costs, improving efficiencies, and developing more effective purchasing methods.
6. In conjunction with the Corporate Support Manager, assists with vendor invoice processing.
7. Acts as back-up for mailroom functions, performing a wide variety of mailroom tasks that support Belco in its entirety.
8. Cross-sell credit union products and services to members. Seize all opportunities to educate members about Belco, its products and services.
9. Abide by Belco’s policies, procedures, and standards.

11. Any other duties as requested by Corporate Support Manager or VP of Corporate Support.

Work Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. while performing job duties. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials.

Travel:
This position requires up to 70% travel within Belco’s field of membership spanning a seven-county area.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High school Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory roles.
Preferred Education and Experience:

Completion of a specialized course of study at a trade school

More than 2 years of experience in building maintenance

Experience in a Facility Administration role – Business Environment preferred

Computer proficiency required with familiarity of Microsoft Suite products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
