Tax Manager
Weinberg & Co., LLP is seeking highly qualified individuals for the position of Tax Manager. Responsibilities
· Be point of contact for clients
· Determine issues and conflicts from knowledge on industry trends and proactively communicate solution options to clients and team
· Constantly serve client’s as a trusted advisor
· Lead the staff to ensure on time delivery and accuracy by conducting technical and strategic reviews of tax returns, work papers, etc.
· Knowledge with foreign reporting, i.e. FBAR, and Form 5471
· Collaborate with Partners on tax planning
· Research tax issues and providing guidance to clients
· Be an advocate for staff by assisting in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating
· Contribute to practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business
Qualifications
· BS Degree in Accounting or related field
· 5+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting, or related field
· CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is a must
· Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
· Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong operational and project management skills
· Leadership and supervisory skills
· Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
· Preferred: Master’s degree in Taxation or related field
· Preferred: Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite: UltraTax CS and AdvanceFlow
