REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION):
- Associate degree in public administration, business administration, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Human Services (including a clinical practicum of at least one year), or a related field from an accredited college or university; AND
- One (1) year of experience with a DHS (or comparable department)
JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
REGULAR AND PUNCTUAL ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Quality Reviews: Conducts in-house quality reviews of assigned cases; gathers data from a number of sources and evaluates accuracy of work products. Participates in continuous improvement efforts;
- Reporting & Documentation: Writes summaries and required reports; discusses findings with staff and managers; Answers correspondence and telephone inquiries; Assists with documentation of policy, process, and procedures (i.e. producing desk aides and how-to documents)
- Audits & Monitoring: Ensures PRC case records, files, and program documentation are prepared for audit and required PRC Plan reviews and updates; maintains documentation and data related to all aspects of the PRC program, including, but not limited to: case records and vouchers
- Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions to receive information of techniques, policies and procedures used during performance of assigned duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (*Indicates can be developed after employment)
Knowledge of: Public Assistance policy for Medicaid, Food Assistance, Ohio Works First and Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC); agency policies and procedures; interviewing.
Skill in: Computer data entry and work processing equipment.
Ability to: Deal with many variables and determine specific actions; calculate fractions, decimals & percentages; understand manuals and verbal instructions; gather collate & classify information about data, people or things; maintain accurate records; prepare meaningful, concise, and accurate reports; work alone on most tasks.
AGENCY-PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of experience in public assistance eligibility to include SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid
PHYSICAL and/or MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all direction
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned

BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED:
Background Checks consistent with requirements in OAC 5101:2-5-09 must be completed at employment and every ten years following.
