SUMMARY: Responsible for purchasing products for resale and production use; coordinating with various third-party trucking companies to arrange deliveries of inbound freight; and inventory maintenance and reconciliation in the ERP system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
· Promotes a culture of Safety.
· Work with various vendors to purchase items for stock or special order for resale, and production materials.
· Assist Sales Team with obtaining product information, costs, and freight estimates.
· Verify pricing on purchase orders with vendor acknowledgement and assist with updating prices in ERP system as increases arise and vendor packaging changes.
· Scan or digitally save documents into ERP system (i.e. vendor acknowledgements, trucking information, salesperson communication, etc.)
· Research and contact third party trucking companies to schedule deliveries of purchased product to company locations or customer jobsites.
· Communicate with Sales Team for direct job site deliveries scheduled.
· Obtain shipping documentation for jobsite deliveries upon completion and communicate with Sales Team for receipt of goods.
· Verify and record pricing for loads scheduled with third party trucking companies.
· Work with AP personnel on any invoice discrepancies with vendors.
· Provide high level of customer service support to Sales Team.
· Maintain confidentiality of all corporate pricing information.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education, experience, and skills:
· Some education beyond high school and/or related experience preferred but not required.
· Proficient in relevant computer applications including Excel.
· Knowledge and application of clerical and administrative procedures.
· Competent in planning and organizing, information collection and management, effective problem solving, and close attention to detail.
· Solid decision making and excellent communication skills.
· Self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision; adapt easily to diverse customer base.
· Strong customer service skills
Physical, mental, and environmental requirements: Must be able to perform light work activities including sitting for extended periods of time, reaching and extending hands or arms in any direction, and grasping and holding office documents and materials. Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers as required for daily use of a calculator and computer keyboard. Work is usually performed in a sitting position without significant lifting, but some regular standing and walking may also be required. Work is usually done inside an office atmosphere free from exposure to adverse environmental and weather conditions.
