We are looking for an experienced, saavy, HR associate to not only lead our unique culture but to provide foundational HR support as we continue to grow.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Recruitment- posting/advertising positions; screening, interviewing and vetting candidates; assisting hiring managers in decision making; preparing offer letters; and coordinating pre-employment drug screens.
Payroll – manage time clock; track PTO; manage all employee mchanges to payroll and process weekly and bi-weekly
Benefits Design & Administration - partner with insurance broker on any employee communications. Administer all benefits enrollments and changes to medical, life, and disability plans.
Employee Development & Relations - onboard and engage with new hires; facilitate annual performance review process; coordinate all training and development efforts including tracking; provide coaching/mentoring to employees, managers and leadership.
Compliance - develop all policies, procedures and craft job descriptions in partnership with management team; ensure compliance with all federal, state and local legislation including OSHA; manage all safety initiatives and coordinate light duty and return-to-work activities.
Employee Engagement - plan and execute all employee-focused events that build the culture and value of fun including birthdays, work anniversaries, social events both during or after working hours that build a stronger sense of team; facilitate strong internal employee communication.
Employee Compensation – collaborate with senior management to benchmark compensation and develop a comprehensive compensation program.
Senior Leadership Coordination – Serve as a single point of contact and coordination for company initiatives with the agency to affect growth and positive change.
HR Projects- work on assigned HR projects for the leadership team
Qualifications
Experience as an in-house Human Resources team for 5+ years as a generalist, ideally for a small, fast-paced entrepreneurial company where everyone makes a difference
Manufacturing industry experience a plus
Education or experience commensurate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or in Business Administration
Working knowledge and professional experience with employment law, compensation, organization planning, organizational development, employee relations, recruitment, payroll, benefits and compensation administration, succession planning, and HRIS systems
Ability to pull market compensation data and provide guidance to leadership team during off cycle and during annual review period
An outgoing and friendly service-focused personality with an ethical and trustworthy approach who knows how to establish the foundation for long term relationships with managers, employees and candidates alike
Proven interviewing skills, a good communicator, excellent writer and confident conversationalist, and the ability to actively listen to candidates, employees and managers to foster the best decisions
Accountable, organized, calm, confidential, discrete, and able to be an advocate for all staff
