Feeding Friends is looking to add a part time to full time Developmental Therapist to work within the First Steps Early Intervention System to join our team. We are a therapist-owned and operated company that provides early intervention services through the Central Indiana First Steps Program and at our private therapy clinic. Our goal is to add a committed and dedicated Developmental Therapist to become a partner with the families that we work with providing family-centered and client-centered therapy in both locations. Within the First Steps program, you will provide services within the home in Hamilton, Tipton, and a portion of Marion County.
You will become part of an excellent group of therapists that are driven to provide the highest quality of care for the families that we serve.
Responsibilities
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Provide quality, personalized, and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
- Document patient care services
Skills
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in early childhood or special education (with an early childhood focus) is required. Individuals with related degrees may be considered if they have completed at least fifteen (15) hours of academic coursework related to child development. (Indiana First Steps Policy Manual 2018).
