Essential Responsibilities:
· Order and maintain accurate sheet stock inventories based on forecast, business needs, and FIFO.
· Create production schedules that ensure continuous plant operations and prevent plant downtime to minimize profit losses.
· Identify and resolve inventory issues with Customer Service caused by deviations, canceled orders, etc.
· Determine workflow through the plant and analyze backlog for overtime needs for production floor.
· Communicate cross-functionally with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), Director of Operations, raw material availability, late shipments, expedited orders and modify daily production plans to accommodate new information.
· Balance competing needs, metrics (i.e., board cost, trim efficiency, shipment time, freight loading optimization) and goals to arrive at the optimal scheduling and logistic solution for all parties while maximizing throughput.
· Continuously identify innovative ways to improve costs, reduce waste, and maximize machine utilization
· Oversee strategic deliveries of raw stock to ensure space issues are minimized, and production flow is maintained
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· High School Diploma
· Being able to type at least 40WPM
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Five years high complex scheduling experience, corrugated experience preferred
