Overview: Client seeks a skilled Process Writer to develop engaging content for various operational areas, including job aids, process reminders, procedural checklists, FAQs, and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development: Create and manage comprehensive documentation such as SOPs, job aids, FAQs, newsletters, and other relevant content.
- Collaboration: Work with business owners and front-line staff to understand needs and translate them into clear, actionable content.
- Editing and Quality Control: Edit existing content to ensure consistency with branding and style guidelines.
- Framework Development: Maintain a standard operating procedure framework for consistent content development.
- Regular Updates: Review and update content regularly to keep it current and relevant.
- Updates and Maintenance: Stay informed on operational changes, create process reminders, and distribute updates via Microsoft Teams.
- Content on Demand: Respond to urgent content requests, delivering high-quality materials within tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in technical writing or content creation within a utility or operations environment.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Canva.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- High competence in technology, including AI, website updating, OneDrive, and digital sharing tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the utility industry, particularly in water and gas operations.
- Familiarity with modern software applications for content creation and distribution.
- Experience writing processes and procedures for customer service or call centers.
- Experience writing processes and procedures for government or federal regulations.
- Possession of a personal toolkit of authoring and content creation tools.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
