Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will support production operation by ensuring optimal equipment performance through preventive maintenance and dynamic responses to equipment-related issues to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Leads the maintenance department through guidance, instruction, and provides training resources to foster team growth. Develops a Preventive Maintenance program and manages the maintenance order system. Establishes a relationship with equipment vendors, forecasts equipment needs to ensure readily available supply of parts.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance team, parts, and equipment.
- Coach and direct Maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and/or company policy and procedures.
- Works alongside the Production Manager and the VP of Engineering and Manufacturing to:
- Ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinates maintenance with manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules are met.
- Communicate with quality and production to support production needs.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports as required.
- Monitor the performance of production equipment to ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and compliance with all local, state, federal and company policies.
- Manage employee selection, training, performance evaluation, documentation, salary and termination processes.
- Maintain a positive, proactive labor environment.
- Ability to effectively handle employee issues.
- This is a 24/7 plant operation
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
- Blow Mold Machinery experience required
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group.
- Ability to lead by example.
Physical Requirements
- Production environment. Ability to sit, stand or walk distances for up to 8 hours per day.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
