Assistant Brewer/Cellarperson
We are currently looking for a passionate, hard-working individual to join our production team. Prior brewery experience is preferred; a strong work ethic is required. The ideal candidate for this position can learn and follow direction, work well with the other members of our team as well as independently, and shares a commitment to the production of craft beer. Responsibilities include cleaning and a lot of it along with performing backside of brew tasks and assisting with all necessary tasks to produce quality beer. This position will be 32-40 hours per week with opportunity for growth or possible additional hours in the taproom and offsite events if desired. Pay will be determined based on experience/skill set.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
· Assist with brewhouse operation: including wort production, cleaning of mash tun, and brewhouse CIP as needed
· Use proper cleaning and sanitation procedures on heat exchangers and piping to fermenters to ensure product quality
· Rest and crash tanks according to the schedule. Maintain proper awareness and adherence of SOP’s
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas
· Help keep brewhouse and cellar vessels/area clean and organized
· Securing the facility at the end of production week, including tank audit and completion of closing checklist
· Assist Lead Brewer and cellar lead with projects and other tasks as needed
· Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed
Experience/Essential Skills
· Prior brewery experience is preferred
· Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment while keeping attention to detail
· Ability to move and life up to 55 lbs.
· Strong communication skills and positive attitude
· Willingness to learn and grow
· Understanding of proper chemical handling
· Ability to work in hot, cold and wet environments
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Report to work on time
· Proper use and handling of chemicals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

- Professional Brewing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Home brewing or Brewery: 1 year (Required)
