Job Summary:
The Warranty Administrator at Bomnin Automotive is a critical role responsible for efficiently processing warranty claims, ensuring accurate documentation, and maximizing reimbursement from manufacturers. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of automotive warranties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warranty Claim Processing:
- Accurately complete and submit warranty claims to automotive manufacturers.
- Verify that all required documentation, including repair orders and parts invoices, is complete and compliant with manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of warranty claims to maximize reimbursement.
- Parts and Labor Warranty Verification:
- Verify warranty coverage for parts and labor on repair orders.
- Confirm eligibility for warranty claims based on manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate with service advisors and technicians to gather necessary information.
- Warranty Reimbursement:
- Monitor and track warranty claim status and reimbursement.
- Follow up on pending claims and discrepancies with manufacturers.
- Maximize warranty reimbursement for the dealership.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized warranty records, both digitally and physically.
- File and store warranty-related documentation for future reference.
- Assist in preparing for and performing warranty audits.
- Communication:
- Communicate warranty information and updates to service advisors, technicians, and customers as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to warranty coverage.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty programs and guidelines.
- Generate and analyze warranty reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Previous experience in warranty administration or automotive service is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using dealership-specific software and systems.
- Knowledge of automotive warranty programs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to take a skill evaluation assessment.
Physical Demands:
- The role may involve sitting, typing, and using a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required within the dealership.
Work Environment:
The Warranty Administrator primarily works within the service department of Bomnin Automotive. This role involves working in an office environment with access to dealership-specific software and documentation.
