Position: Supply Chain Specialist

Canard Aerospace is a leading aircraft system engineering company that provides a broad range of technical and support services to the air transport community. Our focus is on avionics system upgrades and modifications that are driven to the market by new technology, performance enhancements and government mandates. Canard operates as an extension of our customer’s operation by providing integration engineering, certification services, and manufacturing services of wiring harnesses and installation kits. Certification Services include but not limited to; TC Authorizations, Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) new/amend existing, In-House DER, DAR, DMIR, and FAA/STC Coordination.
We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage vendors to join our team.
Summary of Function
Individual in this position will manage vendor relationships and procurement processes. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop procurement packages, qualify and select vendors, track vendor performance from selection to post-warranty support, and provide status updates to the team. You will also identify and resolve issues, ensuring compliance with subcontract requirements and maintaining configuration control.
Basic Qualifications
- The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- B.S. degree in business, accounting, technical or any related course of study and 5 or more years of Supply Chain Management experience, in avionics, aviation or similar, or equivalent combination of M.S. degree plus 3 years’ related work experience.
- Must be able to manage several projects at once in a fast-paced workplace.
- Must have strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and suppliers.
- Must develop procurement strategies and plans to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Self-starter and problem-solver capable of handling unforeseen circumstances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with reading engineering documents, drawings, engineering orders and understanding export/import regulations.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance, modifications, retrofit processes and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working on-site with a multidisciplinary team in support of on-going programs and pursuits.
- Develop business relationships with material and component vendors.
- The candidate will interface with several teams daily to manage Supply Chain requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies including export regulations, company policies and procedures.
- Candidate will perform Supply Chain order execution, delivery management, and data analysis,
- Review and negotiate contracts, orders, prices, lead-times and other terms & conditions.
- Review incoming purchase orders following appropriate Company disciplines to ensure that all contractual requirements are consistent with Canard's proposals.
- Assists in analyzing post-production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities.
- Adaptable, able to work in a constant change and fast paced environment.
- Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements and customer orders.
- Processes material returned from customers.
- Assists in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity, and performance.
- Processes documentation associated with repair items and warranty claims.
- Identify and/or lead opportunities for continuous improvement.
