Job Overview
The Grounds Curator, reporting to the Care Center Manager, is responsible for the grounds pertaining to the facility and cemetery and assisting the burial process of pets from start to finish.
Duties & Responsibilities

Maintaining the grounds around the facility and/or the cemetery onsite to include basic groundskeeping duties such as mowing grass, weed whacking, gardening, raking leaves, shoveling, salting walkways/company driveway, plowing, removing litter, etc.

Working with the Care Center Manager to oversee the burial process of pets, including the opening/closing of graves/plots and burial.

Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles as needed/required.

Assist in operational tasks such as but not limited to creating paw prints, packaging, cremating, and processing of ashes when the weather does not permit outdoor tasks to be completed.

Oversee and manage certain processes pertaining to groundskeeping while supervising groundskeeper team members/helpers on the property.
Education, Training & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of previous grounds keeping experience.

Valid Driver’s License required.

Working Conditions

Regularly bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting and repetitive motion(s).

Regular lifting/moving 100+ lbs.

Regularly be exposed to elevated noise levels.

Regularly be exposed to elevated heat levels.

Regular handling of deceased pets.

Working in the heat and other various weather conditions.

Working overtime as requested or needed by Care Center Manager.
