Database Administrator
Position Overview: The Database Administrator (DBA) plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support within the organization. The DBA will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and managing database solutions to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of organizational data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access control, and security administration.
- Perform database backup and recovery operations using Database Management Systems (DBMS).
- Configure database parameters and define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing needs.
- Design and implement strategies to enhance database performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members regarding database-related tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in Database Administration.
- Proficiency in database technologies, network and server operating systems, and hardware.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Knowledge of database modeling and design principles.
- Familiarity with dynamic views and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams, leadership, and business units.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle preferred.
- US Citizen or Permanent Residency is required for this position.

Pay: $53.00 - $57.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
