Lithion Battery Inc. is a new venture located in Henderson, NV with exciting growth opportunities. Lithion Battery is a vertically integrated manufacturer of cells and rechargeable battery packs servicing the Medical, Energy, Robotics, Industrial, and Military/Defense markets. Lithion Battery works closely with OEM manufacturers and end users to provide custom and high-quality power solutions for critical applications where reliability is paramount. Our expansion has been secured with the support of the Lithion Power Group Ltd.’s executive team and its private equity partner.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will support the high-volume lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing at our Henderson facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will leverage their Lean Manufacturing background to provide increased manufacturing efficiencies and is a key member of the engineering team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for determining methods to increase productivity and maximize efficiency;

Design, construct and maintain assembly and test fixtures and equipment;

Identify opportunities to optimize fabrication methods, material flow and operation sequences;

Work with other members of engineering and quality teams to implement new product introductions and/or process changes and improvements;

Develops/updates the required documents like process sheets, control plans, FMEA’s, job instructions, etc. Responsible for all process documentation;

Assist in set-up, testing, validation and run of new equipment;

Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products align with safety standards and legal regulations;

Review product engineering drawings and BOMs and provide manufacturing feedback;

Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPENTENCIES:

B.S. in Engineering or related field;

Superb computer literacy, including Windows/Microsoft based software applications

Experience with CAD/CAM programs ideally SolidWorks

Results-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skill

Familiarity with Li-ion technology and manufacturing

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to design fixtures / tools

Ability to learn multiple manufacturing processes

Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
