The Coordinated Intake program is the primary gateway to homeless and housing services for newly homeless individuals and families in Cuyahoga County. The Coordinated Intake program engages homeless persons who are seeking emergency shelter by conducting assessments to determine their need for diversion, shelter, crisis services, and housing. The Intake and Diversion Specialist determines the housing barriers of each individual/family, assists with diversion efforts, links with emergency/crisis services as necessary, and creates a housing plan that charts a path out of shelter and into permanent housing. The Specialist also works with off-site agencies and programs providing shelter, housing and crisis services to homeless persons.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with specialization in social, behavioral or human services.
