We are searching for a Registered Nurse to support our Creative Day, Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care program - a unique program prescribed for Medicaid-eligible children, 6 weeks to 21 years of age, with complex medical conditions. We provide an inclusive, comprehensive child development experience in collaboration with our traditional child development center. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This is a full-time, 40-hour position with great benefits and no evening or weekend shifts.

Within the modality for the delivery of nursing care, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, providing, and evaluating comprehensive, client-centered care. The RN also plans to meet each client’s physical and psychological needs (i.e. maintaining health, recovering from disease or injury, and/or coping with their effects); plus is expected to incorporate new nursing knowledge into practice.
SPECIFICATIONS:
· Education - Graduate of an accredited program of nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky pursuant to KRS 314.041.
· Experience - Minimum two (2) years of satisfactory work experience as a Registered Nurse required. Clinical experience with medically fragile children in a pediatric setting, including Trach and vent experience, preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
- Must have valid driver's license for the state of Kentucky and qualify for insurance guidelines of the agency for driving agency vehicles.
