Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Catering & Events Manager to join our team. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our catering operations, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
- Manage and coordinate all catering activities, including menu planning, food production, logistics and servicing
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and provide customized catering solutions
- Conduct interviews and hire staff members for the catering team
- Train and supervise catering staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and service standards
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies
- Manage budgets and financial aspects of catering operations, including cash handling
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and during events
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to promote catering services
Skills:
- Proven experience in kitchen management, preferably in a hotel or banquet setting
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple events simultaneously
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact with clients and ensure their satisfaction
- Proficient in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising staff members
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures to manage supplies effectively
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems for order processing
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and record keeping
