Description: Communities In Schools of Georgia in Albany/Dougherty seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist. This position is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of volunteer management while working for a well-known community-based nonprofit organization.

Qualifications: Ability to educate and inspire youth through literacy and other engagement activities, excellent communication both verbal and written, interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Have a 3.5 or higher GPA.
Responsibilities: Mentoring/Tutoring Students Working in a school and/or with at-risk students, students in the Treasure of Reading program will be able to master Reading comprehension on grade level or above, program implementation and administration, volunteer training, case management, and proven leadership skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with school administrators, personnel, students, parents, and the public. The person accepting this assignment will be working closely with the Site Coordinator and the Regional Program Specialist. Training will be conducted. Print and Online resources are also available. • Assisting with Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach Events Additional Duties would include • Assisting Site Coordinators • Other duties as requested
