Overview:
As a Quality Inspector at Amalga, you will be at the forefront of our quality assurance processes, working closely with the finishing department, packing, and shipping. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure our products meet the highest standards and reach our customers in perfect condition.
Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection: Conduct thorough visual and physical inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, preventing any quality escapes.
- Quality Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards and ensure compliance with company quality policies.
- Lean Principles: Apply lean principles to optimize inspection processes, minimize waste, and improve efficiency.
- Computer Skills: Use computer systems and software for inventory management, order tracking, and documentation.
- Heavy Lifting: Safely lift and move heavy objects, adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and conduct periodic cycle counts as required.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate shipment schedules and resolve any discrepancies.
- Documentation: Complete shipping and inspection documentation accurately and maintain records as per company policies.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in quality inspection is required.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software for data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Work in various temperature conditions as found in a warehouse environment.
