Echoing Hills Village, Inc (Echoing Hills of Northeast Ohio) is seeking a Program Director for its Stark/Summit Region to be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and managing all aspects of residential activities and programming designed to meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of our residents. This position directs the daily operation of the Program Department including all activities and programs, staffing and personnel issues, financial and budget management, managing resident social service needs, managing and fostering relationships with families, guardians, medical providers, regulators, and other local and state DD programs and providers and ensuring compliance with various regulatory agencies. This position will assist the Regional Director and administrative staff with any additional task as assigned.
The Program Director position also carries the following responsibilities: • Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) : Ensure that programs and services that are provided along with the implementation of strategic initiatives promote our purpose of creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to know and experience Jesus Christ. • As part of the Administrative Team, be responsible for providing direction and leadership in fulfilling the mission, purpose and core values of the Ministry. • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Program Department. • The management, supervision, and development of the QIDPs, Activity Staff, DSPs, and Program Volunteers as well as providing management oversight of the DSPs who report to the QIDPs. • Managing and assisting residents with Social Service needs. This includes, working with families, the state, courts to establish guardianship, working with guardians on resident issues, and assist in establishing necessary Social Security Benefits. • Regulatory and Licensure Compliance for both the Program and the facility with various regulatory agencies and assisting with maintaining a safe environment for staff and residents. • Producing and maintaining various reports, materials and summaries for programming, personnel, financial, regulatory compliance, and Ministry purposes. Work performed in this position will be hands-on and interactive and requires a professional, patient, and confidential manner. Work is primarily in the facility and office setting but will include external settings for meetings, activities, events, outings, and public speaking opportunities. Work requires the ability to understand the different forms of communication used by the individuals we serve and respond to behaviors appropriately and effectively. The position requires the staff to be an appropriate role model. The position will have the potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other infectious materials, and will require an understanding of infection control, universal precaution and safety techniques. The position requires a basic knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations set forth by the Ministry and the Ohio Department of DD. The Program Director will serve on the Safety Committee and other committees. Under the person-centered concept, that which is important to and important for the individual will guide the daily routine under the supervision of the Regional Director. The position requires creativity, flexibility, self-direction, selfdiscipline and organization to carry out these responsibilities outlined.
