**Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Desk Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a happy and pleasant demeanor, highly organized, outstanding at multi-tasking, and willing to take on other roles in the organization as needed
MUST BE ABLE AND COMFORTABLE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH CATS AND DOGS
Requires experience with basic veterinary knowledge and animal handling skills
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills are a must
Professional, friendly, outgoing demeanor with staff, volunteers and visitors
High level verbal and written communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to manage and de-escalate emotionally charged situations
Excellent problem solving skills, including ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time

Must be resourceful, proactive, and flexible as a team player
Ability to diplomatically advocate for animals
Ability to learn animal shelter software
Willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shift times
**Duties:**
Facilitating all activities related to the front desk, as well as play a significant role in program support
Serve as the initial contact for visitors at the Humane Society, in person, on the phone, and email with exceptional customer service skills.
Happily greet visitors, staff, and volunteers as the face of CVHS
Ensure that an adoption folder is made and in the file for every animal at the shelter, including their rabies tag and microchip information
Assist guests with completing electronic paperwork for foster and adoption, including going over contracts verbally in detail
Conduct opening and closing SOPs
Ensure all areas of the Adoption Building are clean and tidy, and the counters are clear
Accept, organize, and store donations of pet supplies
Receive and log credit card, check, and cash payments from customers and donors
Maintain ongoing open communication with all Program staff and provide them with administrative support
Utilize a shared electronic calendar and ability to coordinate and schedule appointments
Fill in for animal care duties as needed.
-Daily cleaning of animal enclosures, sweeping, moping, dishes, laundry
-Direct animal care which may include, administering medications, feeding, grooming

Experience
1 year related work experience in customer service in animal welfare or related field, animal care/handling experience, and comfortable working in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
