Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Follow proper food safety procedures at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient food production
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or dietary department is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and menu planning
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience as a dietary aide or in meal preparation
- Culinary education or training in the food industry
