Boeing Talent Acquisition is seeking a Mid-Level Programmer Analyst to join the BCA Manufacturing Execution Systems team in Renton, WA.
The Manufacturing Execution Systems used by BCA (Velocity and Common Manufacturing Execution System or CMES) are the digital heartbeat of our factories at Boeing. Over 70,000 of people rely on these systems to be stable every single day of the year, and Boeing IT Product Systems is seeking a Developer (Level 3) to support them. This will include their core features and integrations with other systems.
This role will perform the design, programming, test, implementation and documentation of multiple modules of Velocity and CMES. They will write and compile complex code based on documented design or design application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems. Also, they will modify or upgrade complex applications to maintain functionality and performance. Finally, they will identify and recommend improvements and identify and resolve complex programming or application architecture problems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, test and deploy innovative, scalable and modular software for our BCA Manufacturing Execution Systems in accordance with Boeing Enterprise standards and industry best practices.
- Understand technical needs within the business to help define and further grow research goals and mature value-add technologies.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide regular status information on task alignment with project goals.
- Document design decisions and develop integration and verification procedures to demonstrate compliance to requirements.
- Support the software quality efforts to across the development lifecycle.
- Provide on-site technical discovery with users/development product team as needed.
Required Skills:
- 3+ year of experience with Agile
- Experience using team collaboration tools including GIT and/or Azure DevOps
- Strong proficiencies in frameworks such as Java, .NET, and Java Spring Boot
- Experience with interacting with Oracle databases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc.)
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience using and deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Microsoft Azure
Education:
Typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $63.16/hour -$56.85/hour
