The Landscape Construction Foreman plays a crucial role in supporting the Construction Production Manager in Crew Member development/training and job completion efficiency as well as overseeing and directly supporting plantings/stonework projects. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain loading time in the morning to ensure timely departure from the shop
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, equipment and materials needed to perform the current job are loaded prior to leaving the shop
- Supervise and manage landscape construction crews while directly providing support
- Manage the execution, planning of labor, equipment/materials and timing to ensure completion of landscape construction projects within deadline and budget allowance
- Works closely in conjunction with Landscape Construction Production Manager
- Produce accurate and timely paperwork along with completing construction projects according to the estimate bid
- Exhibit professionalism on and off job site
- Train and foster development of Landscape Construction Crew Members
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
- Drive a truck with a trailer safely
- Proper use of equipment, machinery and materials safely
- Attend safety trainings and other staff meetings as required
- Support in snow removal operations seasonally
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the landscape/landscape construction industry
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret project blueprints and plans
- Experience in supervising/leading a team
- Candidate will exercise strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. safely
- Valid driver’s license in good standing (REQUIRED)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
