GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
- Identify and recruit currently employed early education teachers who are on track to receive a CDA.
- Evaluate each teacher’s existing professional development to create individualized professional development plans that consider existing professional development and extend upon that professional development to complete the 120 required clock hours for CDA credentialing.
- Implement a care coordination approach to eliminate barriers that working adults face related to childcare needs, lack of transportation, access to health insurance, food insecurity, language, and literacy needs, etc.
- Access CLASS assessments to set individual advising goals over a 4-6-month period.
- Develop and provide hosting opportunities for Communities of Practice (COP’s) to support the development of competency goals, required resource files, and preparing for the examination and final CDA observation.
- Provide support in English/Spanish, increasing equity in a highly diverse community.
- Develop processes that increase awareness of career pathway opportunities in Early/Elementary Education.
- Create outreach materials promoting the value of early learning and the career pathways opportunities in the field.
- Advise ECE professionals on the next steps toward completing CDA credentials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain ongoing communication with the early education teachers via email, phone calls, mailings, and face -to-face meetings to ensure up-to-date information is provided regarding early learning credentialing requirements, available professional development, and general announcements, among other relevant topics.
- Generate and/or oversee correspondence sent to early education teachers regarding program coordination and professional development requirements as required.
- Create individualized professional development plans for ECE teachers. Evaluate the effectiveness of individualized professional development plans to determine their credentialing needs.
- Serve as a CDA specialist and teacher mentor to advise teachers on their next steps toward credentialing and future education goals.
General Requirements:

- Attendance and participation in professional conferences, training, statewide and regional meetings, Coalition meetings, and other events.
- Work harmoniously with coalition members, coalition staff, early education care agencies, and the community at large as deemed appropriate.
- Assists the Chief Programs Officer and /or Program Services Manager with special projects as identified.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree and up to 2 years of relevant work experience; or Associate’s degree and 2+ years of work experience; or HS Diploma/equivalency and 4+ years of work experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Competence in general office equipment including copier, fax, and computer
- Familiarity of social media platforms
- Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Skillfulness to develop and maintain effective records.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license and daily access to reliable transportation to and from work and for local work-related travel.
- Candidate must already have or be able to obtain the following certifications within the first 6 months of employment: Coaching certification, CoP certification, and CLASS certification.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to operate a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing job functions or while. delivering training content.
- Must be able to assist with lifting heavy boxes occasionally.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- 50% office and 50% home office environment.

Pay: $51,150.67 - $56,020.33 per year
