Job Description: Access Control Technician
Position Overview: As an Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining access control systems to ensure the security and controlled access of individuals and assets. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will be critical in maintaining the integrity of our clients' security infrastructure.
Responsibilities.
- Install security systems, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems
- Maintain and repair security systems
- Test and inspect systems to find problems
- Find worn, broken, or faulty components
- Test system components to ensure proper working order
- Mount control panels, wiring, sensors, window contacts, and video camerasse and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred experience:
- Access Control Technician: 2+ years
Required licenses &/or certification:
- State Low Voltage / Alarm license (if Applicable)
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training or certification in access control systems is preferred.

Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining access control systems in commercial or industrial settings.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

Familiarity with various access control technologies, including proximity card readers, biometric systems, and electronic locks.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and RS-485.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction and documentation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical ability to perform installations and maintenance tasks, including lifting and climbing as required.

Valid driver's licen
